The Australian Business Awards is delighted to recognise Cambridge Hotel Sydney as recipients of The Australian Business Award for Service Excellence in its industry classification for 2013.

Cambridge Hotel Sydney is a boutique AAA rated 4 star hotel in the heart of Surry Hills. The hotel opened in 1973 and the close proximity to the main Sydney attractions and the city centre makes the hotel very attractive to both international and domestic markets. The complex currently consists of 3 buildings, the 14 level main tower which was built in 1973 with 5 levels of underground car park and accommodates 140 hotel rooms and suites. Attached to the tower is a 4 storey wing with an additional 33 rooms, pool and conference rooms. This wing was relaunched as the funky 3.5 star Abey Hotel.

To ensure service excellence, the hotel provides continuous training to staff along with having the management team undertake training and team building exercises on many areas including conflict management, time management, effective speaking and writing. On offer to staff is training, diplomas and bachelor degrees in hospitality industry.  Guests are encouraged to share their feedback and there are also regular online polls asking guests for feedback about future development plans in the hotel. Mystery shoppers are also used.
