Privacy, Security, Your Information
We have developed our own privacy principles which embody the
National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act).
We generally only collect personal information from this website when it is
provided voluntarily by you. We will not share your personal information with
any other third party without your express permission.
To protect your privacy throughout the judging process we
will not provide any information whatsoever about your entry to anyone other
than the entrant contact as specified on the official entry form. The entrant
contact must be a company officer or employee of the organisation entering the
Awards.
We do not publish the names of companies, organisations or their
products that have not been selected for an award, nor will we disclose or reproduce
any information from your entry. Therefore if you enter the awards, but are
not successful, this will remain confidential.
In addition, entrants may mark any commercially sensitive information contained in their supporting documentation as ‘not for publication’. This information will be used for judging purposes only and will remain confidential and commercial in confidence.
Copyright Ownership
The organisers reserve the right to use information contained in the winning entry submissions including images for subsequent publicity, promotions and other activities relating to the awards program. For legal reasons we must assume copyright ownership of your entry (in case you are successful) however, as mentioned above, we will not use this information unless you have been selected for an award. Entries are accepted on the understanding that the Australian Business Awards assumes copyright ownership of your entry, and that all information contained in your entry (apart from contact details and any content marked not for publication) can be reproduced in part or full by the Australian Business Awards in relation to the awards program.
Use of cookies
A cookie is a small message given to your web browser by our web server.
The browser stores the message in a text file, and the message is then sent
back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. We
make limited use of cookies on this website. We only use cookies to improve
the functionality of our website, not to store any of your personal information.
When cookies are used on this site, they are used to store information relating
to your visit such as a unique identifier, or a value to indicate whether you
have seen a web page. They are used to distinguish your Internet Browser from
the thousands of other browsers. This site will not store personal information
such as email addresses or other details in a cookie. Most Internet browsers

Security
We use a variety of physical and electronic security measures including restricting physical access to our offices, firewalls and secure databases to keep personal information secure from misuse, loss or unauthorised use or disclosure. The Internet is not a secure environment. If you use the Internet to send us any information, including your email address, it is sent at your own risk.
Access
You have a right to access most personal information we hold about you. Please contact our Privacy Officer (see below) to ask for access to your information of if you have a complaint concerning your information privacy.
