Q.: What are the Australian Business Awards?
A.: The Australian Business Awards are a national awards program recognising the success, innovation and ethics of Australian companies and organisations across all industry sectors. Conducted annually, the awards honour Australia's industry leaders through the acknowledgment of innovative business processes, product development, enterprise, service excellence, environmental sustainability and overall business success.
Q.: How long have the awards been running?
A.: The Australian Business Awards were established in 2003, the inaugural winners were announced in 2006. The Awards are conducted annually and are now in their seventh year.
Q.: How many award categories are there?
A.: There are a total of 15 award categories. These are divided into 10 business and 5 product award categories segmented into 15 product classifications.
Q.: Are there any Fees to participate in the awards program?
A.: Entrants that are selected for an award are required to pay a Fee utilised for the following task summary: administration for pre-selection, secure storage and handling of entry for assessment, evaluation of entry for selection, production and distribution of licensed material, provision of unique licence number, publication of award authentication, communication and reporting of The Award. Entrants are not required to pay an entry fee. The Entry Terms and Fee Schedule can be viewed upon registration.
Q.: Are any organisations exempt from paying the Fee?
A.: Charitable funds, charitable institutions and health promotion charities are exempt from paying the Fee.
Q.: When is the licensed material issued?
A.: Production of the licensed material will only proceed if the entry has been selected for the award after meeting assessment criteria as determined by The Australian Business Awards and is subject to the licence terms and usage guidelines. The Convenor administers the licensed material and oversees its proper use ensuring the integrity of the program and the respective winners' achievements.
Q.: How can I inform others about the Australian Business Awards?
A.: To inform a colleague, associate or client about the Australian Business Awards please send a recommendation notice by completing the online recommendation form located at businessawards.com.au/recommend and an email message containing information about The Australian Business Awards will be sent to them.
