What happens in the first stage?

In this first stage, the judging panel will evaluate the entry for eligibility, completeness, thoroughness, appropriateness and general conformance to the award criteria. Once the judges have made their initial assessment, a shortlist of entries are selected to progress to the second judging stage whereby entrants will be asked to submit product samples (or scale model if it meets certain weight/size restrictions) and other supplementary material for evaluation as deemed appropriate by the judging panel.
