The Australian Business Awards are a national awards program recognising the success, innovation and ethics of Australian companies and organisations across all industry sectors. Conducted annually, the awards honour Australia's industry leaders through the acknowledgment of innovative business processes, product development, enterprise, service excellence, environmental sustainability and overall business success. |

Australian companies and organisations, private or public are eligible to enter. This includes multi-national subsidiaries, government departments, agencies or bodies, franchisors and non-government organisations |

The Australian Business Awards commenced in 2005. |

There are a total of 20 award categories. These are divided into 10 organisational and 10 product award categories for each industry. |

|
There are 10 business award categories: Enterprise, Innovation, Service Excellence, E-Business, International Trade, Marketing Excellence, Recommended Employer, Community Contribution, Environmental Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility. |

There are 10 product award categories: Product Excellence, Product Innovation, Product Quality, Best Value, Best Product Range, Best New Product, Best Eco-Friendly Product, Best Organic Product, Design Excellence and Brand Management. |

Products or designs that are still under development and/or not yet commercially launched are excluded from entering the Australian Business Awards. |

Organisations are not required to pay an entry fee however, the Award winning organisations are required to pay a licence fee for use of licenced material issued to the winners of the Awards for their marketing and promotional purposes including the packaging and promotion of their award winning products and services. This fee enables the Australian Business Awards to recover its administrative costs related to the protection, licensing and proper use of the licensed material. The Australian Business Awards Licence Agreement and Fee Schedule can viewed upon entry registration. |

Yes, there is currently no limit to the number of consecutive years that the same organisation can enter the Awards. |
|
|
The deadline for entries for 2009 is Friday, 27 March 2009. |
