The achievement of Hairhouse Warehouse in developing one of Australia’s fastest growing franchises is based firmly in their ability to identify and market to a well defined target customer.
Since brothers Tony and Joseph Lattouf started Hairhouse Warehouse in 1992 they have been able to achieve sustainable growth and develop clear marketing strategies. In 1998 franchising commenced and Messieurs Lattouf recognised the need for stronger brand positioning to connect with their target market. Through detailed customer research Hairhouse Warehouse was able to identify a range of insights into their typical customer ‘personality.’ Never before has an Australian hair and beauty franchise been branded by embodying its target market’s personality traits.
These ‘personality traits’ have informed Hairhouse Warehouses reinvigorated branding and marketing efforts and have led to the introduction of a highly distinctive website design, an interim loyalty program, and in a rare move for a franchise, an online ordering system providing franchisees with personalised marketing materials. Hairhouse Warehouse have used two innovative national marketing campaigns including the ten-week ‘Face of Hairhouse’ modelling competition, and the ‘Comb for Cash’ sales promotion. Both of these campaigns were run nationally incorporating TV, radio and in-store collateral among other strategies and platforms.
